| Ok. Good news, Bad News Time... |

The good news is that my sister had gone into labor yesterday and gave birth to a baby girl: Cassidy Nicole Esch. (Nicole being my sister's first name.) We visted her today for a few hours and the baby is cute, and healthy and all that jazz.
Now for the bad news, I kinda screwed up on my network connection while trying to setup my Wireless Network Adapter for my 360 which was something I paid for with a hundred dollar check from my birthday. Will be putting up a slight hiatus for Dive and a slightly longer one for Econtra momentarily, but just so everyone who was wondering where I was the past several days wasn't worried, I'm ok. |

Been a while, nothing much has changed in my life except for the fact at the end of January I'll be an uncle. Also I'll be 25 next friday. Wow.
I know Akino is a little ticked at my icon-making skills or lack of, I should say but on my laptop they don't turn out blurry (the anime ones anyway) so I don't know what to do on that front. |

The reason why some of you haven't seen me on the past five or so days, is that something blew the computer's power supply, and today we got a fresh new one.
Now hopefully I can get right on some of my fics that I haven't been able to deal with. A question to some of you, should I see the Bourne Ultimatum or Harry Potter? |

Looks like I'll be seeing yet another movie. (I've seen Ghost Rider, TMNT, Spiderman 3, and POTC 3: At World's End) Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Here's hoping the movie will be better than the first one. *crosses fingers* Here's hoping. |

Just thought I'd let certain people who care (Ann and Alan for example) that the odds of seeing more online seems to be less and less. Lately I work Sunday-Tuesday, off Wednesday and Thursday, and work the last two days. I barely have any time at ALL. Oh well... Such is life.
I'm hoping I'll be off the 17th for Father's day though. More on this later. |

I will commence the babbling!
According to this link: http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=0&id=41833 there may be a very real chance that there may be a movie. Kinda doubt there will be a tv show like some people on the COH forums. Being the fact the third novel for City of Heroes was canceled and they don't plan to go behind issue twenty for the comics, this could be very good or very bad. I highly doubt they'll use any heroes other than the 'offical' ones: Statesman, Manticore, Synapse, Positron, and Sister Psyche. (unsure if I want the three other lesser known heroes Lumina, Back Alley Brawler, and Citadel but then again it's not up to me.) My inner fanboy hasn't been this excited since I saw the first X-men film.
If they do it, I expect the film not to be out till 09 at the earliest. For those of you unfamiliar with COH/COV (I believe only Kender and Karen have any info about it at all. Kender played City of Villains and Karen has some knowledge of the game) Statesman is basically a cross between Superman and Captain America, Synapse has Electric based powers and super speed, Positron is our basic 'guy in a suit' with a twist, Manticore is sorta like Batman with whole vengance thing except with none of his restraint, and finally Sister Psyche. She has mind control powers, energy blast powers, force fields and flight.
Now I'm PRAYING that if they do a movie it goes well. End babbling. |

I'm still sick but a little better for those in wondering. I wonder what the heck is going on in with this LJ thing.
I believe in the Constitution of the United States. I believe in the Bill of Rights, due process, and the rule of law. I believe in the fundamental right of all people to express their opinions, free from censorship or fear of reprisal.
I may despise another man's opinion, but if I take away his right to express it, I take away my own rights as well. Freedom and Democracy cannot exist under a mantle of oppression and fear. Wrongdoers must be punished, but not at the expense of citizens whose only crime is to exercise those freedoms set down in writing over 200 years ago.
Yes, it's "only" LJ. It's "only" fanfic. In the scheme of things, perhaps not so important, right? Except that every flood starts with a single raindrop, and the bedrock of our political system is worn away bit by bit every time the rights of ANYONE are denied.
And if you believe too, post this as well. |
